What is ZED Certification?

ZED (Zero Defect Zero Effect) is a flagship initiative by the Ministry of MSME, Government of India. It encourages Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to improve product quality, production standards, and environmental responsibility.

  • Zero Defect means high-quality, no rejections in global markets.

Who is Eligible?

Any MSME registered under Udyam Registration in manufacturing or services can apply.

How to Apply for ZED Certification

  1. Step 1: Registration

    Go to the official portal:
    🌐 https://zed.msme.gov.in

    Create an account using your Udyam number and fill in business details.

 

Step 2: Self-Assessment

Fill out a self-evaluation based on 20 quality & sustainability parameters.

 
Step 3: Third-Party Assessment

An authorized ZED assessor will visit your facility for evaluation.

 
Step 4: Certification

Based on the assessment, you’ll receive a Bronze, Silver, or Gold certificate valid for 3 years.
