 National Small Industries Registration

What is NSIC Registration?

NSIC stands for National Small Industries Corporation, a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of MSME, that supports Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) through various schemes and services.

One of the key offerings is the Single Point Registration Scheme (SPRS) — which allows MSMEs to participate in government tenders without paying earnest money deposits (EMD) and with other key benefits.

Once registered, your business gets listed as a Government-Approved Vendor, giving access to public sector procurement opportunities across India.

Who Should Register Under NSIC?

You should apply for NSIC registration if:

  • You own a Micro or Small Enterprise (MSE) under MSME

  • You have already obtained a valid Udyam Registration Certificate

NSIC Registration Types

There are two types:

    • For startups or new MSMEs (less than 1 year old)

    • Valid for 1 year, non-renewable

    • No store credit or tender preference, but helps in credibility

  2. Permanent Registration (SPRS)

    • For MSEs with at least 1 year of business operations

Valid for 2 years (renewable)
