What is GeM?

GeM (Government e-Marketplace) is an online procurement platform launched by the Government of India. It enables government departments, ministries, and PSUs to directly purchase goods and services from verified businesses.

It’s like Amazon — but only for government buyers and verified sellers.

Documents Required for GeM Seller Registration

Basic Requirements:
  1. Business Type Documents

    • Proprietorship: Aadhaar + PAN

    • Company/LLP: CIN, PAN, GSTIN

    • Partnership: Partnership deed + PAN

  2. PAN & GSTIN (Mandatory)

  3. Bank Account Details (with passbook/cancelled cheque)

  4. Udyam/MSME Certificate (optional but gives benefits)

  5. Email ID linked to Aadhaar or Company domain

  6. Mobile number linked to Aadhaar

  7. Product/Service Catalog (description, price, photos)

  8. Trademark Certificate (if applying as brand owner)

  9. Address Proof of Business

Note: Aadhaar OTP is mandatory for login verification.
